Who can join LERSM?

Membership is open to consultants, trainees, nurses, allied professionals and medical students with an interest in minimally-invasive surgery. Non-clinical researchers and industry partners may apply for associate membership.

How much is the annual fee and what does it include?

Your Advantages as a Member

As a LERSM member, you benefit from our partnership with the European Association for Endoscopic Surgery (EAES) and Association of Laparoscopic Surgeons of Great Britain and Ireland (ALSGBI) gaining discounted course fees, and eligibility for travel and research grants. Attend regular educational sessions, participate in webinars, share your research, and vie for leadership positions within our society’s sub-committees.

Membership Details

  • Student: 20 EUR per year – For undergraduate students with an interest in surgery
  • Initiate: 85 EUR per year – For foundation doctors in the field of minimally invasive surgery
  • Associate: 95 EUR per year – For BST and HST trainees in relevant surgical fields
  • Member: 120 EUR per year – For certified practitioners in minimally invasive surgery

How do I apply for membership?

Can non-members attend events?

Non-members can attend courses and register to most events. However as a member you will get discounts on courses and events organised by LERSM.

Are LERSM events accredited for CPD/CME points?

Yes, our courses and events get CME accreditation.

What kinds of resources are in the Members Area?

The members area is aimed at giving our members access to course notes, instruction videos and presentations.
