2nd Edition of the Advanced Surgical Skills for Exposure in Trauma (ASSET) Course delivered in Malta

The Advanced Surgical Skills for Exposure in Trauma (ASSET) Course provides surgeons with essential, hands-on training in surgical exposure techniques for trauma care. Developed by the American College of Surgeons, the course focuses on critical trauma and vascular exposures in the neck, chest, abdomen, pelvis, and extremities, enabling participants to gain confidence in managing complex traumatic injuries. 

We have been lucky enough to welcome Professor Mark Bowyer, internationally recognised trauma and combat surgeon and pioneer of the ASSET Course to Malta, to help us deliver our courses locally. Professor Bowyer’s extensive experience in trauma surgery and surgical education has been instrumental in shaping the ASSET course and his presence has significantly enhanced our attendees’ experience. We have received excellent feedback for the additions we have delivered. 

We feel that the ASSET Course is essential for all surgeons who have the potential to encounter trauma and emergency situations.
